KT sings LYONS & PAKCHAR

Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar were last seen at Rockwood in 2013 celebrating their debut album #Love (Live)! Since then, the team has played sold out concerts at Lincoln Center Broadway Songbook Series and 54 Below. Their music has also been heard in concert and workshop at The Old Globe, Seattle Rep, 11th Hour Theatre Company, Queens Theatre, Goodspeed Musicals's Johnny Mercer Writing Colony and more. 

Lyons & Pakchar were recently commissioned by Seattle's 5th Ave Theatre in collaboration with Helen Hayes/Charles MacArthur Award winner Cheryl West. Their musical, Five Points, with McKnight Fellowship-winning playwright, Harrison Rivers, was a Top-2 finalist for the 2016 New American Musical Award and will get its world-premiere at Theater Latte Da in Spring 2018.  

Their return to Rockwood will feature a spectacular line up of Broadway/Pop singers debuting 10+ new songs and some old favorites, all blurring the line of Pop, Soul, R &B and Broadway.

The Creations of Katie Thompson at 54 Below

New Writers at 54! is a summer series at Feinstein’s/54 Below showcasing exciting work by today’s hottest emerging voices. Click here to learn more about other shows in the New Writers at 54 series.

Katie Thompson (Giant, Big Fish) brings her talented Broadway friends to Feinstein’s/54 Below to debut original songs from this songwriter’s many projects in the making.  The concert will also feature selections from her new musical one act “Sleeping in the Ground” which recently had its first developmental lab directed by Andy Sandberg, and choreographed by Shea Sullivan.

Katie does not hold the rights to create a musical based on the 1989 classic film Troop Beverly Hills, but if she did, she might have written a host of new songs about Shelley Long in the woods to debut Sunday night.  Anything’s possible.  Featuring Tony nominee Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!, Big Fish), Bonnie Milligan (Kinky Boots, Gigantic, God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater), LaQuet Sharnell Pringle (Lysistrata Jones, Memphis), Kate Rockwell (Bring It On the Musical, Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages), Britton Smith (Bella: An American Tall Tale, Shuffle Along…), Emma Stratton (Prince of Broadway, Bullets Over Broadway), and Kirsten Wyatt (Annie, Elf), with Direction and Music Direction by Benjamin Rauhala.

The award winning new musical Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical will release it's World Premiere Recording September 16, 2016 on Sony Masterworks Broadway. Written by Douglas Lyons, Melvin Tunstall, III and Greg Borowsky, Polkadots is inspired by the true events of the Civil Rights pioneers Ruby Bridges and The Little Rock Nine.

The World Premiere Recording features Shanice Williams (Dorothy in NBC's The Wiz Live!), recording artist Alex Newell (Glee), Lilli Cooper(The SpongeBob Musical), Alysha Deslorieux(Hamilton), John Arthur Greene (American Idol Season 15), Katie Thompson (Giant), Julia Knitel(Beautiful), Brittney Johnson (Motown), Gerard Canonico (Dear Evan Hansen), Sara King(Hair) and Talia Thiesfield (Veep).

The album release concert will feature a slew of Broadway and TV stars singing this brand new Pop/Theatre score.

Monday June 27th "Broadway Up, Guns Down" Charity Event

"Broadway Up, Guns Down" is charity benefit concert in response to the tragic mass shooting that occurred at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. On Monday June 27th at 8pm, Broadway artists will unite to uplift through song honoring the beautiful lives lost. All funds raised will go directly to the Zebra Coalition in Orlando, FL. A LGTBQ youth based non-for-profit currently offering assistance in Orlando.

The evening at Le Poisson Rogue will be hosted by Michelle Collins of "The View" and will feature Tony Award Winner Jessie Mueller (Waitress), Orfeh (Legally Blonde), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), Jessica Vosk (Fiddler on the Roof), Jenni Barber(Annie), Paul Alexander Nolan (Bright Star), Katie Thompson (Giant), Danny Quadrino (Newsies), Samantha Marie Ware (Glee), Matt DeAngelis(Hair), Charity Dawson (Waitress), Timothy Ware (Kinky Boots), Antoine Smith (The Color Purple), Nyssa Duchow, Tim Ehrlich (Rent) and Julia Knitel (Beautiful).
